Service Unit
Administering and Delivery of Assistance for Non-refoulement Claimants
Duties
  • To assist the Shelter Co-ordinator in managing the shelter to provide substitute care for service users in a stable and safe living environment

  • Assist in the supervision and monitoring of daily activities and routines of the service users under care

  • To help promote a stimulating, caring and culturally appropriate environment for the service users under care
Requirements
  • Completed tertiary education level or above

  • Relevant education qualification and/or training in early childhood education, child care education, etc. are a distinct advantage

  • Solid work experience in managing child care service/shelter or related service setting

  • Crisis management and good supervisory skills

  • Possess good knowledge in shelter service

  • Organized, responsible, initiative, sound judgment and creativity

  • Able to work under work pressure

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work well with service users and be patient with them

  • Willing to work in shift duty, weekend and holiday shifts

  • Good command of oral and written English; fluency in at least one minority language and/or ability to communicate in Chinese is a distinct advantage

  • Computer literate

  • Experience working in a cross-cultural working environment

  • Have a valid work visa and flexibility to work in Kowloon and New Territories Regions
