ISS-HK Awarded New Programme for the Old Age Living Allowance under Guangdong Scheme and Fujian Scheme

ISS-HK has been awarded two new tenders – the Programme for Old Age Living Allowance (OALA) under the “Guangdong Scheme” and the “Fujian Scheme” for 15 months from January 2020 to March 2021.

Together with the current programme for Old Age Allowance recipients under the “Guangdong Scheme” and the “Fujian Scheme”, as well as the Programme for Portable Comprehensive Social Security Assistance Recipients (PCSSA), ISS-HK is now responsible for all programmes of the Social Welfare Department to assist eligible Hong Kong elderly who choose to reside in Guangdong and Fujian Provinces to continue to receive their Old Age Living Allowances, Old Age Allowance, and Comprehensive Social Security Allowances.

The OALA is a special monthly allowance to supplement the living expenses of Hong Kong elderly people aged 65 or above who are in need of financial support. Income and asset assessment applies to OALA. The OALA payment ranges from about $2,600 to $3,600 per month.
