Mobile Information Service
- Objectives
The service is sponsored by the Home Affairs Department to recruit a team of information ambassadors, proficient in major ethnic minority languages spoken in Hong Kong, to help arriving ethnic minorities at the airport and urban areas where they congregate in weekends.
We believe that informing ethnic minorities on the public services available, their own rights and places to file a complaint in a foreign place is essential in assisting them to integrate into the local community, including provision of a fair and just working condition for migrant workers.

- ethnic minorities from countries including but not limited to Philippines, Indonesia, Nepal, Pakistan, India, Thailand and Sri Lanka.

- distribute information kits in 6 ethnic languages to ethnic minorities at the airport and urban areas where they congregate in weekends
- brief ethnic minorities on the content of information kits, including where to seek help and hotlines at the airport
- help target clientele communicate with immigration and custom officers, and airport police, when requested
- handle enquiries from target clientele
