Service Provider: Part-time Tutor for After School Tutorial Classes for Ethnic Minority Students (on self-employed basis)

Duties
  • Provide tutorial service in groups for ethnic minority primary students.
  • Plan, design, and deliver structured lesson tailored to the learning needs of ethnic minority primary students.
  • Support students in completing school assignments written in both Chinese and English.
  • Guide the students to revise dictations, tests and examinations.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Lead and manage the overall classroom environment to ensure effective learning and positive student engagement.
  • Supervise and coordinate with the tutor assistant to foster lesson delivery and classroom management.
  • Handle class administration (e.g. basic reporting, taking attendance and feedback).
  • Immediate availability preferred.

Service Time and Locations:

  • 1.5 hour per class
  • Kowloon City (D.R.E.A.M. Centre) / Sham Shui Po, exact service time and location to be discussed during the interview
Salary & Benefits

Service Fee: HKD220 per hour (on hourly rate and self-employed service contract terms)

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or above (University students are also welcome).
  • Candidates with teaching experience in schools, tutorial centres, or relevant educational settings are highly preferred.
  • Good command of oral and written English and Chinese (Cantonese).
  • Responsible, well-organized, and able to work collaboratively.
  • Patient and willing to support children from diverse backgrounds.
  • Understanding of the needs of ethnic minority communities in Hong Kong.
  • Successful applicants will have to apply for Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) at their own expense.
