To celebrate the World Social Work Day, over 70 colleagues, family members and service users took part in the Social Work Run 2025 on 13 April at the Pak Shek Kok Promenade, Science Park. From the 10k Run, 3k Run, 3k Walk to the 4 x 1 Relay Race, everyone gave their best with the spirit of teamwork and determination. A huge congratulations to Kylie Cheung from School Social Work, who clinched the bronze medal in the 3km Run (18-39 years of age). In addition, Mr Kerin Cham, Programme Director of ISS-HK, represented the Agency at the kick-off ceremony and also officiated the starting ceremony of 3km Walk.

 

World Social Work Day is initiated by the International Federation of Social Workers and marked on the third Tuesday of March each year. Social work organizations worldwide hold activities to enhance public understanding of social work and honoring social workers.
